October is here… The days are getting shorter and the temperature is getting cooler and the shopping is picking up! Before you know it Christmas will be here so it is a good time to start your Christmas list if you haven’t already.

There are also some great buys in the month of October. Apples are the number one fruit to buy in October. They are in surplus! Buy a lot and freeze them for recipes that you can use throughout the holiday season. Check out this recipe to help you freeze apples. Fall Decor will also start to go on for sale this month. Including fall silk leaves and Halloween decorations. Stores want to clear their shelves to make way for Christmas items. Now is the time to stock up on fall decorations for this year and years to come.

Halloween costumes obviously will be on sale after October 31st but be on the lookout. Many stores will start to discount their costumes during the last week of October.
